wow, this photo is a little “off” isn’t it? Well, this was my “Show us what you can do” swap card for the new Demonstrator Swap Club that Becky Carafa (aka BeccaBatGirl) invited me to join. This card (i made 12 for the group, plus some matching note book covers and my first batch of 12 i wasn’t happy with, so all in all, about 30 cards, all embossed…. i was tired of the powder mess by the time I came up with this one!). The inspiration for this was a Japanese kimono dress. The base is Basic Black textured CS, with the sentiment from Artfully Asian embossed in white. The mat is Groovy Guava and the front panel is River Rock. I embossed Artfully Asian branches with versamark and black embossing powder. I then colored in the flowers with Groovy Guava and River Rock via aquapainter. Then, I stamped the Fabulous Flowers with white craft ink onto Groovy Guava cardstock, embossed with white embossing powder, then spent a full shift at work cutting out the flowers! The big flower is mounted on dimensionals. I added black eyelets and black hemp and called it DONE!
This card was for the Holiday Mini Swap 1 -
If you can’t tell, there is Dazzling Diamonds on the buttons of Mr. Snowman. Colors: Basic Gray Textured cs (my new fav!), Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky. The stamps are Season of Joy and the Snow Jumbo Wheel. I rolled the wheel in Basic Gray ink then rolled it onto the Soft Sky. Added some PP double stitched ribbon and Tah-Dah!
And finally, The Supersize Snowflake is way lovely… it’s a double sided background stamp, one side is the bold snowflake, the other is the fine outline. Base is Almost Amethyst, mat is Lavender Lace (i never use that color for some reason….). I stamped the Bold Snowflake onto White textured cardstock with Almost Amethyst ink. Using the stampamajig, I inked up the outline with the glue pad by Tsuesinko (sp?) and then stamped over the Bold. I sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds over it, and then added a rhinestone brad (Ice). Winter Wishes was inked up with a Lavendar Lace marker and stamped with the stampamajig assisting.
All products are Stampin’ Up! I totally can’t wait to get my swaps later this week- i’ll post them for you, my naughty monkeys! (as craig ferguson would say!)
