looks like i need to go to Ikea…

Got my swaps today.  Words cannot describe the quality and beauty of these little creations!!!  There is no way i’m putting them in a binder or a box either.  Ikea has these wonderful little shelving strips called “Stripa” that are perfect for displaying items.  I already have a few in my stamp room (as seen below- it stores my Stampin Up! Punches, as well as miscellaneous containers as well as favorite cards or inspiration pieces perfectly!).  But these are already full and i like them this way.

So i think i want to buy a few more and add them somewhere so that I can display the beautiful swaps I received today, as well as the ones in the future.  And if I can find a reason to go to Ikea, then that’s golden! Tomorrow, I hope to photograph the swaps and upload them to Flickr.  Then you too can see the glory and wonder of these masterpieces!!!

In other news….

I am putting on a class this month!  I took about 6 months off from putting on classes or workshops because it was taking over my life.  (as if that’s a bad thing!  but Keith had a differing opinion… men!).  So tomorrow, my announcement gets sent out to my customers (via Vertical Response).  The class will be a Techiques Class.   My customers will preorder the On Board Bitty Book and we will cover it in the class with designer papers and embellishments.  Then we’ll make 3 technique cards – one of which will be Pastel Pulling – as described by Linda McClain  on her blog.  I fell in love with her card that had a bajillion different techniques!  Her sample is a halloween card- she applied different shades of pastels directly to Basic Black cardstock, then with her Spooky Skyline jumbo roller inked up in Versamark, she ran it across the chalked up black cardstock.  The Versamark pulled the chalks up, leaving the image on the black with the chalk giving a faint sunset in the background.  Beautiful!
