mondays rock…

… and i’ll tell you why Mondays rock, but after i show you this adorable (er, scary?) RAK i received from AJ/Willosmama last Friday…   This card is so cute- and I love her watercoloring of Dracula… Thanks AJ- You rock too!

So Mondays rock because it’s technically my “Sunday” and it’s the one day a week I know I can get in to stamp.  After busy weekends, Mondays are our relax days.  Today I prepped for an upcoming Christmas Card SAS.

christmas-sas07.jpg  Happy Holidays Card:  This card was inspired by Kelly/NewDemo of SCS- her card HERE.   I’m not sure I’m done with this card- let me know if you have any suggestions.  One of my customers saw Kelly’s card at my last class and fell in love with it and begged me to do the color combo at my class.  I love the colors- just not the set i used for this card.  I want it to look modern and clean so I’m open for suggestions!  The card base is Blue Bayou.  I stamped the tree from Perfect Presentation (Lev 2 hostess) and “Happy Holidays” from Many Merry Messages in Basic Brown ink.  I adhered Chocolate Wide Grosgrain and Soft Sky double stitched ribbon around the main panel.  I mounted that on dimensionals.

christmas-sas07-peaceful-wishes.jpg Peaceful Wishes Card:

The second card came together super fast and easy.  It was inspired (cased really, with color/technique differences!) by AKJuda’s card HERE.  Base layer is River Rock, with Linen background stamped w/River Rock ink.  The main image is Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla.  For the Peaceful Wishes image, I colored Always Artichoke and Elegant Eggplant Watercolor Crayons direct to stamp, then lightly misted it and stamped the image on the Vanilla.  I LOVE the soft effect of this technique!!  After this dried, I sponged the edges with River Rock, adhered it to the Eggplant piece, tied a knot in River Rock double stitched ribbon and mounted it on dimensionals.  I stamped “Peaceful Wishes” at the bottom in Eggplant.

Still haven’t got over to Office Depot to exchange the acetate… it’s been 3 trips so far!  I am still desperate to do one of these cards, so I really hope the tips I received pay out so I can RAK ya back!
