… and indulge me a little. I need to whine. Like many of you, suddenly my stamping time has become rare due to holiday stuff and unexpected overtime shifts (for SAHM’s, that might equate to your extended family coming to stay unexpectedly!). The only time i can get into my lab is when my roomate Rhonda, who lives in our granny unit, is at work. Well, she says come in anytime, but she has very little personal time herself so i don’t do that. Sadly, with the unexpected long hours, I’m sleeping thru my stamp time.
This lack of time is really annoying me. THERE ARE ONLY 20 DAYS LEFT TIL CHRISTMAS! YIKES. I have about 60 cards to still make, a bunch of Papertrey tea tins and nugget boxes just begging to be dressed up- and some gift swap projects to complete. Not to mention the truffles, biscotti, chai tea mix and cookie exchange baking to do as well. And Anthony, my adorable UPS guy, has only a couple more packages coming my way so I need to get his gifty-poo done soon too. I’m FREAKING out a little!
However, my laptop is my one saving grace lately and fortunately, I am making progress with the recipe scrapbook. So while i have no stamping to share, I do have some scrapping.
This is my recipe page. This pic of me isn’t the one i want to use for the recipe, but the only one of me on my laptop currently. The recipe photos i took (of the ingredients and me and my dorky sis hamming it up making it) are on my desktop computer. (Yet another project waiting- backing up my photos to CDs – praying my desktop doesn’t – nope- not gonna even say it because i’ll jinx it but i think we all know what i mean). This kit is from http://sweetshoppedesigns.com/ and is called “Boy-ous“. Just because it has the word “boy” in the name doesn’t mean it’s geared toward boys. It’s actually more of an active, rambunctious digital kit with fun colors and accents.
Tomorrow, I will be able to spend hours in my lab. I took some time off work just for that reason. I fully intend to have much to share then, so thanks for your patience and understanding… :D
