Welcome 2008! Keith and i are back from Yosemite- which was incredibly beautiful. We had a wonderful time! That we went in winter and had a night of snow, and then a day of sunshine is just perfection. In another post, I’ll list in detail how Yosemite and Disneyland are the same, and yet different. Yes, there truly are similarities! But despite that (because as much as i love Disneyland, comparing a wonder of the world to a theme park isn’t exactly complimentary, is it?), it’s still a wonderful place as long as you accept that there are hundreds of others who share their interest in Yosemite with you.
For my readers/PSFs who felt we should have gone to Seattle, we are going to attempt a long weekend there this summer. We are happily accepting advice on where to stay, what to see, where to eat and the best time to go during the summer. We’ll catch up with you for a latte too!
For now, in respect for the New Year’s Holiday Tradition, i’m going to just welcome 2008 and list my resolutions.
1. Become Perfect in every way!
okay, by that, i mean:
- lose 15-20 lbs before October 1 (we have a 3 week trip to Europe planned where hiking/biking and other physical activities are on the itinerary. Plus, i want to buy some European Fashions in my preferred clothing size! lol)
- regain my former fitness level from prior to moving to this house (and farther away from my gym) before October 1 via walking, hiking and yoga. Maybe get back into running and weight training.
- eat healthier – including conquering my sugar addiction ( i can’t believe we threw out my Mother In Law’s fudge and my Mom’s mini-cakes!)
- and last but not least, continue my resolution from last year… Help others in need where i can. This is either by charity donations, or by acting upon a situation, such as stopping when a bicyclist has a flat, or checking on the cute 3rd grade boy walking home after a dog came after him. Stuff that isn’t a big deal, but for someone shy or in a hurry, it means taking time to actually stop instead of passing by.
- I want to make Stamper’s Showcase.
- I would like to be able to post a minimum of 3 papercrafting projects a week on my blog.
- I’d like to get into a math class that will fulfill the graduation requirements for a BA degree.
