This has been a sad and happy week. Granny passed away on Sunday, so Keith and I are grateful to have seen her 2 weeks ago when she was in the hospital. She was alert and happy to see everyone (her room was filled to capacity) and was still able to tease and joke. I’m also grateful that we saw her last Saturday and even though she wasn’t talking, she knew we were there and was relieved (I think anyway) when I told her we would take care of Mitzi. I’m grateful we got to say goodbye. Granny loved frogs – and this was the last birthday card I made for her in October. I saw this when I was uploading today’s photos to my blog and thought I’d post it again. :D
I love this card and I hope she did too.
In other news, i’m back in the lab FINALLY. But having a little trouble getting into the groove. I found this card in the SCS gallery by Jenn Diercks and it was love at first sight! So to warm up, I made a few thank you cards. In my cards, I added mini flat back pearls for the flower centers. Oh, and obviously, my version is rectangular, not circular!
And, one for the sketch challenge! SC159
It seems like years since I have been able to do a challenge. The picture isn’t really good- there’s some yucky light. Deets on all cards posted listed below.
