faux silk… version 1

faux-silk-1st-try.jpg Okay- this is my FIRST attempt ever at the Faux Silk Technique  AND…… i’m not very happy with it.  Coloring on tissue paper is TRICKY!  I’m going to try a redo of this same card, but using markers vs aquapainter and ink from the lid of the stamp pad.  In this picture, the ribbon doesn’t look like it goes but IRL, the ribbon colors (plum, lavendar, pink and orange) look super cute with the paper.  OH, did i mention how much i LOVE Spring Solitude?  :D

Card deets:  Stamp Sets;  SU Spring Solitude and Papertrey Ink Piece of Cake, Paper- Bazzill Basics cs- Heather and Lilac, Whisper white cs, ordinary wrapping tissue paper, Elegant Eggplant, Lavendar Lace, Vintage Violet and Craft white ink, Unk brand ribbon.
