It’s that time… Hostess Club starts up again next week and today i practiced making one of the notecard totes and 4 note cards to go in it. This is my first notecard tote ever! I want to direct you to a great tutorial by Leslie Rich, on her blog Running with Scissors. Her tote is GOHJUS! And her directions were easy enough for me to follow, so you can do it!
Now, since this will be for a Stampin’ Up! class, I’m using only Stampin’ Up! products. The stamp set used is Hugs & Wishes. Textured River Rock, Old Olive, and Fall Flowers DSP are the papers. I also used Old Olive wide grosgrain and the paper piercing mat pack, as well as SU! glue stick. The sentiments are stamped in Craft White ink. The club members will have their choice of my current SU designer series papers that I have on hand (although I’m greatly tempted to order some more- seems i fell in love with a few more on further inspection). The tote only takes 1 sheet of 8.5×11 cs and half a sheet of 12×12 patterned paper. I wanted to use up the other half of the sheet of DSP, so I used those for the notecards, instead of lots of stamping.
In other news, here is a pic of Keith with Mitzi, watching the Giants vs Packers. I think it might have been a tense moment in the game for Keith , but Mitzi was more concerned with taking a good photo.
(aren’t they both adorable??)
