Starbucks. My version of the happiest place on earth. Pretty much a daily habit for me and not only for the Chai Lattes either. Have you ever noticed how beautiful their stores are? The colors on the walls? The furniture, the artsy mugs and holiday wares on display? The beautiful coffee boxes or bags? I have been known to buy stuff just to recreate the images, color schemes with my cards or scrapbook pages.
This card was inspired by the new travel mug I bought recently- notice the colors? Totally Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and a brighter Soft Sky. The leafy, berry branches too… remind you of anything???? LOL!
So here is my version of the mug.
The “fun” was hand drawn on Old Olive cs and then cut out. I also used the Tombow Mono Multi (from here on referred to as TMM!) to adhere the little letters to the card.
I took some time today to cut up acetate into 13 1.5″ x 2.75″ rectangles and created permanent StampAMaJig sheets for the Jumbo Outline Alpha. I thought I had a pic to show you, but I guess it’s at home (yes, i’m at work blogging between radio traffic and phones! If you really must know, I’m also working on my next Stampin’ order too!)
Basically, for each double block for the alpha, I stamped it on the acetate rectangle with black stazon. Now, anytime i need to use this set, I have StampAMaJig templates ready. I’ll edit this post to include the pic of this tomorrow morning. :D
