I ran out of Chocolate Chip craft ink (spots) doing 13 of these card fronts… anyone know if spots are re-inkable? I prefer the spot size for chipboard, etc, as well as storage… so i hope they can be refilled. So this is the card I came up with for this month’s swap with local demos. I’m not really supposed to say this, but my DH helped me emboss these… he operated the heat gun TOOL. It’s a DANGEROUS TOOL, so it’s okay.
Facts are as follows: Always & Baroque Motifs stamp sets, Textured River Rock for the base, Textured Olive Oil (i use this color so much!), Home Again Simply Scrappin’ Kit for the cardstock stickers, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive craft ink with clear embossing powder for the bird and the embossing on the card. In this photo, just below “Everything” is the next phrase in the kit stamped in River Rock- “you mean everything to me” – but it was too light, so I ended up changing that to Old Olive craft and embossing that as well. Chocolate 5/8″ grosgrain and brass colored staples (non SU) finish it off.
For some reason, the chocolate swirls on the top reminded me of some kind of cake dessert – the color of the river rock kinda reminds me of a mocha ganache with the chocolate – a truffle cake? something super fancy…. i don’t know but all i can say is that i’m glad i wasn’t doing scratch & sniff scented swaps….
