Oh my werd! My blog has over 30,000 hits!
You know what that means? Time for sum gud ol’ blog candy! Post today (3/12/08) before Midnite PST, and I’ll draw a random comment. The winner will get a little sumtin’ sumtin’ in the mail!
(sadly, I don’t have a pic to tempt you, but trust me, it’ll be ”comment-worthy” - I’m going to the Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton this Friday and expos are CHOCK-FULL of awesome new products! I saved lots of money for this little venture!)
In other news,
I’ve been tagged by Stephanie, one of the gals in my swap group challenging me to list 7 more random things about me. Pretty soon, i’ll have absolutely no secrets! You’ll tire of me and unsubscribe or quit vistiting, and then i will never be able to give away blog candy for monumental site hits… sigh. However, I liked her random things – never heard of Vera Bradley until her tag and now there’s yet another website i will throw money at.
- Coke or Pepsi- COKE, but i really like Orange soda or Root Beer better. I rarely drink soda and consider it “dessert” or “medicine” when i’m sick. (come on, you know the carbonation feels good on yucky throats and tummies, right?)
- I love trail hiking and LOVE trail running over any type of running. It’s almost like “playing outside”!
- I love to decorate tables - i raid the clearance racks at Pier 1, Target or Cost Plus World Market for new ideas for table pieces and cannot resist any unusual plates, bowls, glasses, etc.
- I am currently reading Stacy Jillian’s new book Photo Freedom and love her ideas.
- Racoons don’t scare me, i’ll fight them anytime.
- Desperately waiting for the next tv season to start.
- I get up at a ridiculous 5:15 am Sun-Weds to leave for work by 6:10, which gives just enough time to hit Starbucks and make it to work at 6:45 am.
Okay, so now that I’ve bored you because i can, it’s time for tagging others- I hereby Tag Maria, Estivalia, Danielle & Monique! (if you already have been tagged, then just tag someone else!). Thanks for humoring me!

Candy?!? Give it! Mine!
Liked your factoids, not boring at all! It’s hard to think of 7 things, huh? We could have used your racoon-fighting services last time we went to the beach. We had a crazy-eyed racoon who tried to get in our cabin every time we opened the door! He was scary!

Oooh, blog candy – fun! Congrats on your numbers…
Thanks for playing! Yep, Vera Bradley is awesome. Must be a Florida thing or something because someone else I tagged hadn’t heard of it either, hmmm. Anyhow, check it out b/c the patterns are gorgeous and might inspire you to stamp something. We also have a heck of a raccoon story; where were you when we needed you?! ;) We played hide-and-seek with a raccoon for 3 nights in a row while we were housesitting. Each morning we went out to the garage to discover a mess. Finally, the hubby kicked the search into overdrive and shoo’d him out after a 15-minute stand-off, LOL! That thing scared us…with the mess he left behind each night, we imagined a monster.

Congrats on those 30,000 well-deserved hits! I love your blog as I am always inspired by your beautiful work, but I always seem to smile throughout my visit as well. I love the baby monkey’s expression:) Like the posters before me, I could have used you to fight off some racoons as well. They practically moved INSIDE the house with us and were next to impossible to get rid of. I also think they were responsible for drowning our dog in our pool. Sure they are CUTE…but what ornery little rascals. LOL

Woo Hoo! Congratulations on huge hits! I have one of your notebooks from Pay it Forward and LOVE IT!!!!! I’m also seriously impressed with the running thing. My sister runs marathons and I on the otherhand am totally out of shape and have a recurring DREAM that I’m running! How sad! I’m keeping hope alive! Congrats again and thanks for hte chance to win blog candy!
BTW, I had raccoons living in the attic surrounding my room over the garage in my mom’s house as a teen. They used to party at night and one night I decided to surprise them! I wasn’t scared either. I swung open the door and a HUGE male stood up on his hind quarters and GROWLED at me. I think we both screamed at that point and I slammed the little door shut. Good times…. :)

I usually shy away from posting, but your blog candy is just too tempting so I’ll take a stab at it. I love your humor, your creations, and it’s easy to see why your blog has become so popular. Keep up the great job! Thanks.

A belated Yay! for all the hits on your blog. Didn’t get a chance to check in for the last couple of days (it has so been one of those weeks!)… but I still wanted to tell you that the pic of the chimp to start of your entry is toooo funny.

It’s always fun to learn more STUFF about “my girls”! My husband is a “critter catcher” or technically a Wildlife Nusiance Trapper so I see many raccoons around this place (although here they are just referred to as coons- that’s a hick thing!) Anyway, I can attest to how mean they can be so you’d better watch it- don’t go looking for fights. :)
