So, we left again for our semi-annual Bodega Bay scrapbooking weekend on Friday. We always stay in the same house, The Breakaway. This time, there was only 7 of us (usually 9) and it was much more roomy for some reason- LOL! However, this time there were a few things about the house that had changed, including the lame issue of the wireless network key (secret code to get on the wireless network) not being available, so NO FREAKING INTERNET! Both Veronica and I had planned to upload a huge amount of photos for backup as well as create some Shutterfly albums online. Fortunately, LaRae had a cable and I could get online, but it was SLOWER THAN MOLASSES. This annoying problem, coupled with the fact that the house wasn’t cleaned properly (it was a turn around and the cleaning crew didn’t get to all the bathrooms and kitchen between the last renters check out and our arrival- ya, BLECH), we felt it was time to move on and see about another house for next time.
We are actually researching Lake Tahoe for our February trip- and we’re totally counting on getting snowed in. “Oops! Sorry work, we’re stuck like the Donner Party in mountains of snow… we can’t possibly get to work this week! In fact, we’re drawing straws to see who gets eaten first in case we can’t ever get out!” Oh yes, I soo can’t wait.
Among some “memorablia organizing” and a gift album, here are 2 pages I did:
So, I used a template for both of these pages and have become a digi-clip mask-guru! I can clip anything now! Okay, now to list the products used… this is the hardest bit since I broke up all my digi kits into categories, such as paper, buttons/brads/bling, metals, flowers, etc. If you are just starting your organization of your digi-kits, I recommend researching it before jumping in. I have been going in and adding the names/stores to all my elements file names and it’s tough. Gotta be a better way out there. In fact, if you have the answer, let me know! I’ll send you one of the kits I have for your trouble!
40, Bring it On page: kit-papers -Crazy Beautiful by Mindy Terasawa for Designer Digitals, page template- Bejewelled by ScrapSimple
Keith & Mitzi (re-do) – For this layout, I retouched the picture using Sue Chastain’s pet eye fixer tutorial, Jessica Sprague’s Shazam photo popper, and Graphic Reporter’s sparkling eyes tutorial. The kit is Boyous, by Heather Roselli of Sweet Shoppe Designs. I used the digi-page template Scrap Simple Layered Journaling Strips
I printed the 8.5×11 pages out on my Epson 1400 wide format printer and they look EXACTLY like they’re supposed to. I love that printer.
That’s it for now- Tonight i plan starting my swaps and a few Thank You cards- i’ll post some “non-secret” ones tomorrow! Have a great Tues!
