It wasn’t very hard to convince Keith either… once he saw that we could get the weather report on demand, he was all for it. ??????? men are weird.
It was really quite painless at the Apple store (if you haven’t been to an Apple store, it is controlled chaos!) and only took us about 15 minutes total. I want to thank my GSG friend Vera, for confirming that it will very handy in Europe. And my friend Bernd (who we’re staying with in Munich in less than 6 days!) for agreeing to tell Keith whatever I wanted him to say in order to get it. :D
This is the coolest little gadgetron evah! I’ve got all my music uploaded…. and working on getting more. I’ve uploaded Anthony Bourdain’s “Kitchen Confidential” audiobook for Keith and I to listen to on the plane. I’ll be renting some movies from iTunes too. And all the handy features for traveling too- french, spanish and german phrasebooks, Frommer’s Paris guidebook, maps, currency converter, train schedules and games! It also has this cute thing that will pick up your long/lat and pop your location on a map and send that map link to anyone you want via email- so you can say “Hi sis! I’m here at Oktoberfest, see?” or “Hi sis, I’m on the top of the Eiffel Tower, see??”. I love gadgets.
Enough about that… wanna see my swap card?
Ohhh.. too bad! But here is a sneak peek. Becky doesn’t have my swaps yet, so I don’t want to post the full one til next week. I signed up to use Grand Soiree because everyone doubted that set would make a good card. I opened my big mouth and said that it would, and i’d prove it! and that they’d all be sorry!
I think i am the one who’d be sorry. It took several attempts. I made 15 – all of which had 2 different parts to heat emboss. Ugh. If i never see my heat gun, or a freakin’ chandelier again, i’ll be happy!
