My east coast friend, Lauren, tagged me with a photo challenge and so if you’re reading this, and you have a blog, and you have photos on your computer, then i hereby TAG YOU!  This is the deal.  Go to the area on your hard drive where you store photos, go to the 6th folder from the top and then pick the 6th photo down in that folder.  Post it on your blog! 

I just happened to have finished converting all my old advantix film and negatives onto CD and uploaded to my EHD.  I have 1989-2009 on my computer.  The 6th folder is 1994, and the 6th picture is my dear, sweet, little sister in law, Veronica opening her Christmas presents.  She was 13 this year and today, she’s 27 and getting married this October!  Yay Veronica!  Whoo whoo!  Okay- so if you’re going to do this- be sure to leave a comment with a link so i can see your 6th picture from your 6th photo folder too – see who has the most embarrassing or naughty picture.. heh hehe…

Happy Inauguration Day!

 It isn’t the best page, but i wanted it simple.  Plus, i did it on my break at work… hee hee….

Just another presidential inauguration, right?  Wrong.  This is the first time in my voting career that I’ve actually wished I was with humanity (and not at work, working with a cynical republican!) to celebrate this historical event.  I wasn’t really caring that the first black man was taking office, although that is pretty awesome.  But because this is the first step toward the change our country, and the world, so desperately needs.  I am so excited about where America may be heading now that George W. Bush and the devil incarnate, Dick Cheney are out of office!

 

My favorite excerpt from President Obama’s inaugural address: … As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals.  Our Founding Fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafter a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charger expanded by the blood of generations.  Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience’s sake.  And so to all other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born; know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more.    Barack Obama, Jan 20, 2009

I also want to mention;  11 PAGES OF BIG SHOT DIES AND ACCESSORIES.   Not a little printout your demo has been carrying around and losing this whole time, but 11 FULL PAGES OF BIG SHOT DIES AND ACCESSORIES.  I felt faint.  I think I need to have a big class to earn this during SAB.

Also – to the catalog winners and demos out there who may be wondering- You are not obligated to order from me because I’m sending you a catalog!  I highly recommend finding a demo close to you as she (or he) can offer you much better customer service.  You can order from me if you don’t need personal attention (because i’ll totally ignore you? haha – no silly), but I’m not pushing for that at all.  I’m just sharing what i love, and all that SU mantra stuff.  Peace out!!

Photo Calendar, anyone?

I subscribe to Photojojo which is a photography newsletter with FANTASTIC, USER FRIENDLY tricks of the trade as well as DIY projects that showcase your favorite photos.  Today’s was about creating your own calendar using photos of NUMBERS.  It’s intended to be big, to go on your wall as art.  See?

I thought this was  a cool idea… and an interesting challenge to find unique and photogenic numbers around your home and town.  If you haven’t checked out Photojojo yet,  hope on over now!  Not only is it informative, it’s pretty funny reading.
