Christmas Card Stamp a Stack!

30 Oct

Hey!  Guess what!?!

I’m posting.

and not only that, but i’m POSTING PICTURES OF CARDS I MADE!

Take a gander at the cards we’ll be making at my Christmas Card Stamp a Stack.

ChristmasSAS-2009-webslides

Well?  What do you think?  Okay, ya, i totally CASE’d 2 of them.  But they are from 2 of the best stampers out there, so it’s all good.  I’ll give the deets on that below.   The other 3 were inspired by others, but my own creation- which amazes me that I still can stamp something cute (if i dare say so myself!).   And it was… FUN!  I am such the “pressure stamper”. heh.

Now- I came up with an idea- maybe other demonstrators already figured it out- but I really wanted  “HO HO HO!”  for the “Just Beclause” card, instead of “Be Merry”.    So I went to the personalized stamp section of the IB&C (page 137) and ordered “HO HO HO!” using the Wedding Special Date one line stamp (#116480).  I also thought “Believe” would be nice in that font for the “Dasher” card.  So I ordered both!   They should be here by Weds so I’ll upload a new version of both cards then.   If it hadn’t been for the single stamps available on page 208, it may have never dawned on me to make my own sentiment.  I love that SU has started offering single stamps under $10.

CARD INFO:

Just Beclause – Inpsired by Mamascraper’s Merry & Bright card-  Whisper White, Real Red and Old Olive CS, Just Beclause stamp set from the Holiday Mini, Warm Words set, Real Red, Old Olive, More Mustard & Close to Cocoa classic ink, aquapainter, linen thread & red button (non-SU).
* Class will have a choice of sentiment- “Be Merry” or “HO HO HO!”
Delightful Decorations- Cased J_Belanger completely- I love the colors and modern look so I didn’t want to change a thing!    Delightful Decorations stamp set from the Holiday Mini, Baroque Motifs set, Basic Gray, Old Olive & Whisper White cs, Metallic silver & Old Olive ink, Old Olive 5/8″ grosgrain, silver cord
Season of Friendship - My design, but jumpstarted from this beautiful card!  Ruby Red, Kraft, Whisper White & Soft Suede cs, Season of Friendship stamp set, Many Merry Messages set, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red & Sahara Sand ink,  Snowflake punch, Kraft taffeta, red button (not SU), Linen thread
Dasher -  My favorite of all… and my hubby’s too – he has ordered 40 of them for himself!   Single stamp- Dasher,  from the main IB&C, Kraft cs, Brown Stazon, sentiment on the card as shown is retired (from set To You & Yours) but get this- My class will be using “Believe” – a stamp I created using the “Special Date” personalized stamp. I’ll show you them when they arrive next week.  Ribbon is Sleigh Bells from the Holiday Mini, and rhinestone nose (non SU).
Holiday Lounge – You all know of Dawn McVey, right?  Of course you do. She’s world famous.  Well her card inspired this card- using SU of course.  Sahara Sand, Whisper White cs, Holiday Lounge DSP, sentiment is from Season of Joy stamp set, White taffeta, Taken with Teal ink, corner rounder.
