an interesting thing about blogs…

raccoon-militiaSo if you’re a blogger, you know how incredibly addicting the “dashboard” or “stats” area behind your blog is.  I find it fascinating that people find my blog from, most recently, Russia.

Or with a search term like  ”antique die cuts series naughty boys”.  WTF?  I tried, I couldn’t solve that one.

Most of the time, I can figure out where the interest generates.  There was a Cafe Mom thread where someone must have linked one of my projects because for weeks,  I was averaging 20 visits per day for this post. But the message board was private.  I even signed up for a Cafe Mom account, but that particular group was still private.  And I don’t know how far I was willing to submerge myself into the terrifying mom world of manic toddlers and diaper rash just to satisfy my own curiosity about WHAT ARE THEY SAYING ABOUT ME!?!?!  Hee hee… that’s scary stuff, man.

Another of my non-stamping posts seems to have caught the attention of Europe (ya,all of it).  It is clicked on at least once daily, but for a while, this post was being hit hard every day.  The post was popular because somehow it hit the radar of this blog – “Fun Thing to do at work“.   I really hope it wasn’t to make fun of me… “that silly American chick – she’s such an American- pffft!”

But that’s just it- how did that blog find my post? The randomness of the interwebs astounds me.   Right now the popular search is RACCOON.  And my longtime readers know what that means.  The ERM is active again.  Everyone, grab your apples.  New readers, you can educate yourself on the ERM HERE.
