Clean & Modern Calendar: Yes, another digital freebie!

I’ve been creating a base template for a photo a day project and needed a clean and simple calendar brush set to use on the daily page.  So this is what I came up with and I’m offering it to you!  By clicking the image, you will go to 4shared.com to download the .abr file.  I’m sorry- it’s only a brush/stamp this time- no overlay/.pngs.    Enjoy!!

Are you doing a Project 365 or Project 52 this year?  If so, how are you planning to document it?

fun with fotos…

So, I was messing around with a great little photo template that turns your pics into old fashioned style bordered photos, complete with curled corners and glossy paper reflections.  Here is a 2 page layout (8.5 x 11 size) that I did learning to use the product.  The product is “Bent Bunch #18″ by Penny Springman of Sweet Shoppe Designs.    I love how my page turned out- even though there’s no actual title or any serious embellishments.  I wanted it to look like i’m spreading my photos around the table, writing little notes on my rolodex files (an interesting way to organize… might think about that).  I have a tag paperclipped to a list.

Products used: Background paper and tag- Elemental Earth by AndreaBurns Designs; Rolodex cards from the Jubliant kit by Gina Cabrera of Digital Design Essentials; Paperclip is Basically Neutral by Sara Amarie; and the Bent Bunch photo masks mentioned above.

In other news… our Fearless Leader, Becky Carafa, is the Great Swaps Girls Featured Stamper for this week.  I am in the process of casing her, and using the SCS color combo as well- but ran into a roadblock.  I hope to have the case done later tonight.

Happy Stampin’! and Scrappin’!

My beautiful niece just graduated from High School last Friday night.  She is going to San Francisco State this fall and she’s super excited, as are we.  I have been busy creating a High School memories album for her and here is the title page.  Yes, it’s digital.  She will appreciate that I think, since she was hugely into film arts a while back.  Or maybe she hates that now?  I can’t keep up!  Anyway, I used the school color throughout the entire album.  It’s printed on Stampin’ Up!’s Confetti White.  You can see the full album on my Flickr account- clicking the image below will take you there.

The album I used is a Martha Stewart black linen landscape 8.5×11.  I have moved away from 12×12 albums due to storage issues.  I LOVE 8.5×11 landscape orientation albums and can’t find enough like that.  sigh.

The fonts used on this page are CKChemistry, CKDearMissRose and Shabby Princess Urban Kiwi Metal Alpha. The floral designs are all brushes!  Which are like digital stamps.  This brush set is the first brush set I ever downloaded… after searching for it after seeing it on a layout in Digital Scrapbooking magazine last year.  At the time, I had PSE 3 only and I COULDN’T LOAD THEM!  Now I have PSE 6 and everything’s fine.  The Brushes are by DesignFruit and called Japanese Foliage.

Here’s one more page just for fun…. this one is about the careers she considered while in High School.  Currently, she’s thinking about being a dentist.  The album is designed for her to add her own pictures as well as write in.  I hope she writes in it!  She’ll be glad she did in 20 yrs.

Hey Lauren, does this count as 2 scrapbook pages? :D
