For the past few months, Keith and his friends have been training hard to ride the Gran Fondo course (100 mile course) that is mostly uphill and then some more uphill and then a bit of fun and fast downhill before going back uphill. I have on two occasions followed them in the truck with food, supplies and, stupidly, no first aid kit. Sorry Andy. Believe me when I say this: Cyclist are crazy. I do not understand how pumping your legs for hours to get up a hill is fun.
Saturday, I’m a lucky girl. For the 2nd year, I will be capturing this event on film, er.. digitally from the back of a motorcycle! My Flickr photos of last year’s event can be seen if you click the Bee Girls photo.
I am also going to beg my readers for some good karma- Patrick Dempsey is riding the Gran! And I’ve just learned that the organizers of the event are trying to get him set up with Keith’s group since they are a very large, organized group of riders who are also police officers all over the county. THIS MEANS I HAVE A VERY GOOD CHANCE OF MEETING MCDREAMY! Please send me positive vibes I won’t say something really stupid and/or have terrible helmet hair in the event that I actually converse with him.
